    A mother has admitted killing her five-year-old son who died at the family home days before Christmas last year. Claire Button, 35, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of her child Lincoln during a short court hearing today but denied murder. Emergency services rushed to the house in South Ockendon, Essex, on December 15 after receiving reports of serious concern for the welfare of a child and a woman. Police officers and paramedics tried to save 'Link' but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

    A pub sparked a furious public backlash after naming a cocktail after notorious date-rape drug Rohypnol. The Catherine Wheel pub in Norwich posted a photo of the lurid green drink ‘Rolyhypnol’ standing on a table in the venue on social media on Friday. Offering it as its £5.50 cocktail of the month, it said the ‘devilishly smooth’ drink ‘goes down way too easily’.
