Court proceedings involving a teacher, who claims she was wrongly identified as the "GAA Catfish", and the school she teaches in, have been struck out. Niamh Farrell, of The Spires, Portadown, County Armagh, had taken High Court action against the board of management of Colaiste Eanna in Rathfarnham, who had been engaged in disciplinary proceedings. Farrell denies she is the so-called GAA Catfish, which became infamous following a series on the popular 2 Johnnies podcast.

Marathon talks between healthcare workers unions and the HSE ended without agreement at the Workplace Relations Commission in the early hours of this morning. It was hoped the talks would end a work-to-rule due to begin on Monday in a row over staffing levels, with both parties to return to the WRC on Saturday. These talks began at 10.30am yesterday morning, with unions emerging at around 2.10am this morning.

Wexford News M5WJ0H Skyline of Rosslare harbour in Southern Ireland Gardai in Wexford are continuing to question a man in relation to the discovery of a woman’s body on board a ship at Rosslare Europort. The ship’s captain made the emergency call at around 5 o'clock yesterday evening, 30 minutes before it was due to dock at Rosslare from Fishguard in Wales. Emergency services were waiting when the Stena Nordica docked and promptly boarded the ship.

Three men have been taken to hospital for treatment, following what Gardai have described as a 'serious incident' in Dublin. It happened in Stoneybatter at around 3 o'clock this afternoon. Three scenes have been sealed off in close proximity after three men are believed to have been attacked with a knife.
