Ah spring. Flowers a’ blooming, bees a’ buzzing, and grass a’ growing, prompting yard-work lovers all over the county to dust off their mowers in expectation. Apr. 7—I live in Maggie Valley, and if there's one thing you can say about that corner of Haywood County, it's this — there's no shortage of breakfast places nearby. I favor Pop's when I feel like walking, and the Buttered Biscuit when I want to waddle out to the parking lot for a six hour post-breakfast car nap. Yes, I'm aware the Buttered Biscuit isn't technically in Maggie. But it's spiritually in Maggie. I'll die on this hill, please don't email me.
