World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler opted not to compete in the event after winning the Byron Nelson the weekend prior while major winner Jason Day withdrew just a day before the event kicked off.

Major champion Shane Lowry has a chance to do something he hasn't done in nearly 1,000 days. -win on the PGA Tour. The Irishman entered the final round of the Truist Championship, the PGA Tour's fifth of six signature events, tied for the lead at 14-under with fellow three-time PGA Tour winner Sepp Straka. Lowry, who hasn't won in 972 days, knows he's been close in previous attempts. “I just think you need to be persistent,” Lowry said Saturday, via Golf.com.

Not long after winning the Masters for the very first time, Rory McIlroy revealed he and his wife, Erica Stoll, are building a new home in London. "We first went to London with Erica and Poppy to see our new home that we're building and we made the trip over to Belfast to see a few other people that are important to us," McIlroy said at the time. "Just to be with them, to be with Erica and Poppy and my mom and dad.

A major retailer is making a bold return from the dead after previously announcing the closure of 800 stores. In September 2024, Big Lots filed for bankruptcy and announced it would close all of its locations by the end of the year. However, Variety Wholesalers agreed to buy more than 200 Big Lots locations during a liquidation sale with the plan to relaunch the struggling retailer.
