Today, Code Horizon officially announced that it will no longer be able to meet its original promised timeframe of early 2025 to release the demo for its highly anticipated prospecting simulation title, Gold Mining Simulator 2. In the Steam post, the developers were fully transparent about the current quality assurance testing and that the QA team’s initial round of tests warranted a delay for the demo.

Today, Genki announced that they would be extending the early access period for its hit racing game simulator, Tokyo Xtreme Racer. In a post dedicated to the announcement, the developers apologized to fans who were looking forward to the release of the full game, stating there were three key reasons as to why they decided to delay. The first is based on feedback, as they’ll be revisiting the full set of features that will be in the games in the hopes of living up to user expectations.

As a devoted fan of the franchise, I admittedly had reservations going into my PAX East preview of Bandai Namco’s new, unconventional take on the series, Shadow Labyrinth.
