For the past two seasons the Oregon Ducks football program hasn't had to worry about how seasoned its starting quarterback would be to open the year. Both Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel set new records to NCAA career starts during a collegiate career, and their play highlighted that experience. But this fall, Dan Lanning's program is expected to be guided by Dante Moore, a former five-star recruit who transferred to Eugene last year and sat behind Gabriel in the fall.

Folsom (California) five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons is set to announce his college commitment Tuesday, and the battle seems to be centered on the BYU Cougars and Oregon Ducks. The 6-foot-2 1/2, 220-pound signal-caller is rated the nation's No. 13 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback in the class of 2026, but he intends to graduate early and take an LDS mission beginning in January.

Hun School (New Jersey) edge-rusher Luke Wafle is one of the top defensive ends in America in the class of 2026. As a junior, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound defender finished with 53 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks, drawing comparisons to Ohio State's Jack Sawyer. So, it only made sense that Wafle's recruitment, primarily down to Ohio State and USC, would seem to favor the Buckeyes.

Folsom (California) five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons is the top uncommitted quarterback in the country. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound signal-caller is rated the nation's No. 13 overall prospect, No. 4 quarterback and No. 1 player in the state of California in the class of 2026. Lyons, however, intends to take an 18-month LDS mission beginning in January and will, for all intents and purposes, become a 2027 prospect.
