The Bonnies (9-1, 0-0 A-10) started the game guns blazing, going up 10-0. The Bonnies shot 45% from the field and 32% from three while holding the Bison to 38% and 20%, respectively.

Coming into Wednesday’s game against the Bison (4-6, 0-0 PAT), Bonaventure (8-1, 0-0 A-10) ranked 28th in the nation in scoring defense and 56th in defensive efficiency. The Bonnies’ defense was on full display against Bucknell, holding the Bison to their lowest point total of the season with 47.

Photo: St. Bonaventure Athletics After a trip to Florida last week, the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team continues its road trip tomorrow, traveling to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, to take on Bucknell University. The Bonnies (7-1, 0-0 A-10) split their two games at the ESPN NIT Season Tip-off, losing their first game of the season against Utah State 72-67 Thursday. Bonaventure avenged its loss the following night, defeating Northern Iowa 68-56.
