I was bartending at a Broadway theater when an older woman insisted I go see Iron Man 2. “You haven’t seen it yet,” she asked. “You have to go. It’s amazing!” Movies in a theater were not in my post-conservatory budget at the time. Even still, I was surprised to hear someone tell me that, despite the monumental success that was the first Iron Man film. My memory of Iron Man 2 was that it was a bit of a disaster, which is wild to consider, given how far the MCU has come since.

Look, late-night shows are dying; I get it. Having to hear Seth Meyers talk recently about being bummed that there won’t be a new generation of hosts was sobering. It’s not surprising, but dagnabbit, I think I’ve always held out hope that what is old would become hip again. Not just hip, but a successful and viable source of entertainment with which networks could make money. I’m not naive. Without bringing in bucks, those shows won’t continue.

They are responsible for the Paranormal Activity series, which delivered seven films over 14 years.

There have been seven Joe Biden impersonators on Saturday Night Live in the last six years. Seven! Yes, one of those included Jason Sudeikis dusting off his old role, but dagnabbit, that’s a lot of folks playing one guy. I’m serious! Remember Jim Carrey filling the role in 2020? I don’t blame you if you don’t, because he barely made it two months before stepping down. Woody Harrelson played the part in 2019, which I can kind of recall, but not really.
