    The second most important game of rugby in October was arguably played in the small Manawatu town of Halcombe. After a couple of local lads came up with the idea for a Farmstrong fundraising game for over 40’s, the challenge was thrown down to nearby tiny town Hunterville whose proud rugby club accepted the challenge. And so it was that two groups of middle-aged blokes, including myself, found themselves running and training throughout September in preparation for the big game.
