The cost per treatment session is set to fall significantly from Sh120,000 to Sh40,000, thanks to this landmark agreement that aims to make cancer care more affordable and accessible. The High Court Thursday issued conservatory orders stopping the gazettement of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) nominees and their swearing-in. The court, however, gave a green light to Parliament to vet the nominees. The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) has called for a thorough investigation into the mysterious deaths of two Catholic priests, saying the incidents have left the church and faithful deeply disturbed. In a statement dated May 28, 2025, KCCB Chairperson Archbishop Maurice Muhatia Makumba expressed shock and sadness over the deaths of Fr. James Maina and Fr. Aloise Bett. He said the circumstances surrounding the two cases pointed to possible foul play.
