Indian CDMO Shilpa Biologicals has opened a dedicated bioconjugation alongside its commercial biologics manufacturing facility in Dharwad. This is currently undergoing validation and is expected to begin onboarding client programmes by September. The new suite is built to support the manufacture of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and other advanced bioconjugates. It includes 200L single-use bioconjugation reactors and a lyophilisation capacity of up to 65 kg.

Rainbow North America, the US subsidiary of a Chinese crop protection firm, has established a ‘partner production centre’ at Champaign, Illinois, in the heart of the Midwestern agricultural sector. This will begin with a renovation and construction activities on a 12-hectare campus and will continue with multi-phase expansion. Features include three Hastelloy reactors with a production range of 30-200 L, plus space for a fourth, and a dedicated Hastelloy filter dryer for high-level containment and safety. It can produce batches of up to 1.5 kg. This is part of the France 2030 programme.
