No matter what happens in the rest of the NBA playoffs, Game 1 of the Cleveland-Indiana series was an eye-opener for the Cavs and their fans. And Game 2 was nothing short of a dagger through their heart. It had been a very smooth season until now. The Cavs had a great start, good health, winning streaks, incredible comebacks, the best record in the Eastern Conference and a first-round series sweep against Miami that went better than anybody could have expected. It was over after two games.

Four rounds into the 2025 NFL draft, Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry looked like a precision surgeon, making all the right moves. The people surrounding him in the operating room executed a well-designed plan. He calls them “thought partners.”On screen, you watched the team at work. Berry, flanked by head coach Kevin Stefanski and chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta. Off to the side were ownership group representatives JW Johnson and Jimmy Haslam.

I’ve been lucky enough to have been covering sports since the late 1980s. I worked on productions for CBS Sports as a grunt even before my career began. I carried – and carefully spindled – cables so the videographers could move with ease to bring you golf from Firestone Country Club in Akron. It was a great job for an 18-year-old looking to make some money for college. It was fun. But, it was also a turnoff for me about the game. I remember thinking the players were really good.

Two weeks separate us from the NFL Draft. The more I listen, watch and read about the draft, the more I believe the Tennessee Titans will select Cam Ward with the first overall selection. They will, unless they trade the pick, or if they decide at the last minute they want another player. But after that, it’s a scramble. Who the Cleveland Browns will pick at No. 2 is the same as the Cleveland weather – they both change every 20 minutes.

Sitting in lower bowl. Feels like the Bronx in our section. So many Yankees fans. Highlight of night was Yankee fan dancing on Yanks dugout like a slider glider after homer. Only to be ejected by Cleveland Finest. #letgoguards
