At the quarterback position, a name that Central Louisiana needs to pay attention to in the near future is Grant High School signal caller Gage Hossieni. Over the last two years, Hossieni has been a frequent camper during our Gridiron Football Elite Camp series and has shown a lot of potential only entering his sophomore season. The 5’10, 154 pound Class of 2028 quarterback prospect can stand tall in the pocket and has a very good delivery.

Like in the LHSAA, there is a lot of really good talent in the MAIS including one such talent that plays football for Silliman High School, which is located in Clinton, Louisiana. That player is two way star in RB/DE Isaac Garba, who is a force to be reckoned with on the gridiron for the Wildcats. At 6’0, 240 pounds, Garba is an absolute tank that just plows through defenders when he carries the football just like a couple of other bruising runners in which he models his game after.

Playing for Louisiana powerhouse Zachary High School, linebacker Dylan Shelmire is another impressive prospect. At 5’11, 215 pounds with a 3.2 GPA, Shelmire is an athletic linebacker that runs well sideline to sideline and can line up all over the field. The 2nd Team All-District linebacker has the physicality to play inside, but also the speed and hustle to play on the edge or on the outside.
