Like in the LHSAA, there is a lot of really good talent in the MAIS including one such talent that plays football for Silliman High School, which is located in Clinton, Louisiana. That player is two way star in RB/DE Isaac Garba, who is a force to be reckoned with on the gridiron for the Wildcats. At 6’0, 240 pounds, Garba is an absolute tank that just plows through defenders when he carries the football just like a couple of other bruising runners in which he models his game after.

Playing for Louisiana powerhouse Zachary High School, linebacker Dylan Shelmire is another impressive prospect. At 5’11, 215 pounds with a 3.2 GPA, Shelmire is an athletic linebacker that runs well sideline to sideline and can line up all over the field. The 2nd Team All-District linebacker has the physicality to play inside, but also the speed and hustle to play on the edge or on the outside.

For the second time this offseason and the last time in the Baton Rouge area this spring, Gridiron Football puts on a camp at Lamar Dixon Expo Center. After 100 players took part in the first camp of the year at Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 50 more players decided to take be a part of the action this past weekend during spring break at the same location. It was the hottest camp of the offseason to this point, but the weather was not the only thing that was blazing.

Throughout the weekend, there were several other Tigers that were selected by NFL teams.
