    Rangers' new American owners are continuing their restructuring of the club by appointing Everton's former head of recruitment Dan Purdy as technical director to replace Nils Koppen. Last week, a US-based consortium, including the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers, completed a multi-million pound takeover of Rangers. New sporting director Kevin Thelwell officially begins his role on Monday, and the club have moved to bring in Purdy to work alongside him, as they did at Everton.

    Darge responds to Lions disappointmentRory Darge told BBC Scotland on last week's Scotland Rugby Podcast he's using the disappointment of missing out on selection for the British and Irish Lions as motivation. It certainly looked that way against the Stormers. Darge was outstanding. Time and again he chopped down the big South African ball carriers and stymied their momentum by being his usual menace at the breakdown.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu kicked the first points of the match as the visitors came out the blocks fast, but Glasgow responded quickly. Stormers wing Senatla was sent to the bin for cynically killing Warriors' momentum after a lovely break from Kyle Steyn. Glasgow kicked to the corner and an innovative lineout move created space for Darge to dive over.

The group, led by private healthcare tycoon Andrew Cavenagh, has bought 51% of the Ibrox club following months of negotiations. The club says £20m of new investment will be made available in the summer following a share issue. Cavenagh will be confirmed as the club's new chairman at an annual general meeting at the end of June.
