The ex-girlfriend of a fitness instructor killed in a brutal acid attack has pleaded not guilty to his murder. Paris Wilson, 34, is charged with murdering Danny Cahalane, 38, at the home they once shared in Plymouth, Devon. Mr Cahalane had acid thrown in his face after answering the door to his home in Lipson Road, at 3.55am on Friday 21 February. He died in hospital ten weeks later, on May 3.

But one thing smartwatches shouldn't be relied upon when exercising is counting calories, scientists claim. Academics said the devices are not accurate at working out how many units of energy have been lost during exercise. In fact, researcher Dr Cailbhe Doherty claimed there is a 'high degree of error' in the methods used.
