    Numerous opportunities await students during semester breaks. One of those opportunities is studying abroad. This year, Wayne State introduced a new annual trip that allows students interested in German to visit Germany and Austria. Cori Peet, Ph.D., is a German assistant professor at WSU and this year's trip advisor. Peet and Associate Professor of German Nicole Coleman, Ph.D., conceived the idea from Junior Year in Munich.

It's a unique journey that delves into the fascinating history of fermentation, from the early records of 7000 BC in China to modern-day drinking in Detroit. "The Art of the Drink: From Metro Detroit to KwaZulu-Natal" looks at drinking grain-based alcoholic beverages in cultures around the world," said the Museum Director Andrew L.

    The HuntFrom above the tiger shark’s grey silhouette stands stark against the sun-drenched sands of the sea-floor below. With flowing, almost lethargic, strokes of its tail the shark cruises slowly through the water. As it drifts past a sea turtle, its behaviour suddenly shifts. This time the shark doesn’t continue on its way, as it has done during previous turtle encounters, rather its attention locks in on the reptile.
