Just don’t expect him back in the Cubs bullpen too soon – he’s now dealing with a left hip impingement and will likely require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the big-league team. The Cubs are signing LHP Génesis Cabrera to a major-league contract, per sources. Cabrera, 28, had a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings with the Mets before being DFA’d on May 24.
