Liam Smith, who works as an electrician, used his tool kit to help Sittingbourne FC get to the fifth round of the FA Trophy for the first time in their 140-year history. They were drawing 0-0 at home with favourites Salisbury when a corner of The Staxson Stadium in Kent was plunged into darkness at half-time. With the match in danger of being abandoned, Liam, 24, was urged by team-mates to fix the faulty floodlight.

Fiona Beal, 50, stabbed Nick Billingham, 42, in October or November 2021 after detailing her gruesome plans in a confession journal.
