The big night Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting for is finally here: the NFL Draft kicks off tonight. General Manager Brandon Beane and company are set to make their first of potentially 10 picks in this year’s draft. The Bills have the 30th overall pick coming off their trip to the AFC championship game last year. There’s lots of talk leading into this evening that defense should be their top priority. How about a cornerback to play alongside Christian Benford?

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — It’s a busy week for the Buffalo Bills, with the NFL Draft kicking off on Thursday and the start of the voluntary offseason workout program. Some familiar faces are back in the fold, including fan-favorite Tre’Davious White, the former All-Pro cornerback returning to the club that drafted him after a year away. The Bills released White last offseason as he battled back from a torn Achilles spending the season with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens.

Who will be the Bills No. 2 cornerback this season and into the future? Mississippi’s Trey Amos might be a solid fit. He brings good size at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds. He’s a solid athlete, running the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds, tied for 10th among cornerbacks this year at the NFL Scouting Combine.
