There are moments in the history of human thought when a simple realization transforms our understanding of reality. A moment when chaos reveals itself as structure, when disorder folds into meaning, and when what seemed like an arbitrary universe unveils itself as a system governed by hidden symmetries.

    1. IntroductionThe problem of evolving, in time, the metric in General Relativity can be regarded as a Cauchy problem, where the evolution of the system is uniquely given by the initial positions and velocities of the fundamental fields. This accounts for specifying the induced metric γ i j and ∂ t γ i j at a given instant of time, that is, to specify all the metric components and their first time derivatives at a given spatial slice, x 0 = t = constant .

This study explores the link between modified gravity and modifications of phase space volume. Analyzing Fermi gas modifications in the nonrelativistic limit of the Ricci-based gravities, we derive a generalized partition function in the grand-canonical ensemble, connecting modified gravity models with the generalized uncertainty principle.

Abstract We derive the equations of state of Fermi gas by maximizing the Fermi-Dirac entropy in modified gravity in the relativistic and nonrelativistic case. It will be demonstrated that the microphysics must depend on a given theory of gravity in order to consistently describe a physical system at a statistical equilibrium state.
