Stray Kids debuted their new album, “SKZHOP HIPTAPE ‘HOP,” which blends experimental musical ideas with hip-hop to create a genre that has not been officially defined. This new genre allows the members to “express [their] individual personalities in music and on stage, creating a liberating atmosphere,” said Stray Kids.

This year, Jamie Diaz teaches two classes of HABiT freshman biology, one class of freshman biology, and two classes of forensic science. She is well known for her welcoming classroom and engaging lectures. Before her teaching career, Diaz found her love for biology and forensic science in college.

A monumental event occurred on Dec. 6, 1865, when Congress passed the 13th Amendment, ending the over 400-year legacy of slavery. However, this amendment had a loophole where people could be subjected to slavery if they were incarcerated, leading to the exploitation of prisoners. Prop. 6 would modify the California Constitution so that jails and prisons would not be able to force prisoners into involuntary servitude. Prop.

The LGBTQ Pride Center will hold several events and celebrations to commemorate LGBTQ+ History Month in October. This annual observance, distinct from Pride Month in June, focuses on honoring the history and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. LGBTQ+ History Month was established in 1994 by Missouri high school teacher Rodney Wilson who, along with other educators, chose October for this commemoration due to significant traditions like National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.
