Video shows a black bear playing in the snow in the yard of a West Hartford home, and the homeowner is pretty certain it's the same bear that climbed a tree at Westfarms on Friday. The bear led first responders on a wild goose chase around the mall's parking lot Friday night. Susan Washburn said she doesn't normally see bears, and she lives near the woods that the bear ran into.

Police are investigating after a car that was driving too fast crashed into a liquor store in Putnam Saturday morning. The police department said they were called to Sunny Discount Liquor on Providence Street at around 6:40 a.m.Responding officers said a woman driving a Toyota Rav4 was going too fast, lost control of her car and crashed into the building. The woman and a passenger in the car were evaluated at the scene and declined medical transport. Police said the driver was issued an infraction.

Police are asking for the public's help identifying the person whose remains were found near a cemetery in Groton last month. City of Groton police officers responded to the area of the Colonel Ledyard Cemetery on Mitchell Street after receiving a 911 call reporting a suspicious item, and they found human remains, police said. Police said they're hoping the public has information to assist them in identifying the victim, or understanding what happened to her. The remains were found on March 19.

"Call us bananas, but there's not Chiquita in these boxes...they're turtles!"Mystic Aquarium staff traveled to Georgia earlier this week to help release nearly two dozen rehabilitated sea turtles into the water. Mystic AquariumStaff members headed out on a long journey to Jekyll Island, Georgia, to release 22 sea turtles, including 14 green sea turtles, six loggerhead sea turtles and two Kemp's ridley sea turtles.

Viral drive-thru coffee spot, 7 Brew, is getting ready to open its second location in Connecticut. The Tolland County Chamber of Commerce announced that 7 Brew will open on Monday, April 14 with a grand opening celebration planned for Saturday, April 19. The drive-thru coffee spot will be located in the Tri-City Plaza at 35 Talcottville Rd., where the old Denny's used to be. Currently, the only location in the state is at 905 North Colony Rd. in Wallingford.
