A local ice cream bus, 2Talls Sweet Treats Bus, announced another feel-good fundraiser. The fundraiser will take place this Saturday at Eufay Woods Park in Plumas Lake. Its goal is to help send two stand-out athletes to meaningful athletic opportunities that they have earned. Organizers said one hundred percent of tips and 75% of profits will go directly to the two local athletes: wrestler Makynlee Cova and soccer player Shanaya Chand.

Alakazam! David Hagerman, a traveling performer who has appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” an NBC competition series, shared magic and science at Linda Elementary School on Thursday. His two shows at Linda Elementary were educational in nature. He explained some of the science behind his experiments and illusions with dramatic flair. “My goal is to get them hooked on science,” Hagerman said.
