    Google will no longer offer Google Play gift cards and prepaid balance to users in Malaysia, effective June 15. "You have until January 31 2026 to use any existing Play gift cards or prepaid Play balance, as they will expire and become unusable after this date," the company said in an announcement on Google Play. Users with unredeemed gift cards are also urged to spend the value by purchasing apps, games, movies or e-books on the Google Play store.

    WhatsApp is rolling out new tools to help users get more creative with updates on Status. In a recent blog announcement, the company said users will be able to use a Layout feature, where they can turn up to six photos into a collage using WhatsApp's native editing tools. Users can also make a Status post using a particular song, or add a music sticker to set the mood. WhatsApp will also introduce Photo Stickers for users to turn a photo into a sticker and add to their Status.

    Google Photos is rolling out two new AI-powered editing features – Reimagine and Auto Frame – aimed at helping users enhance their photos. The Reimagine tool allows users to type a prompt to modify specific elements or add new features to a photo. According to Google in a blog post, users can get creative by changing the appearance of grass, trees, or even indoor decor within images.

    PlayStation's Day of Play starts today (May 28) and will run until June 11, as an event to reward the community with limited-time offers on consoles, games and more. In an announcement on the PlayStation blog, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is now available for RM1,830 (normal price: RM2,069) while the PS5 is listed for RM2,260 (NP: RM2,499). The PS5 Pro console is available for RM3,610 (NP: RM3,849). The PlayStation VR2 is also being offered at RM1,860 (NP: RM2,099).

    WhatsApp has officially introduced its long-awaited app for iPad. "As one of our biggest requests, we’re excited to announce that WhatsApp is now available on iPad," the company said in an announcement on its blog. WhatsApp Messenger for iPad supports multitasking features including Split View, Slide Over, and Stage Manager (available on compatible iPad models), which allows users to organise and switch between multiple app windows.
