On 4 May 2023, the Bank of England (Bank) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) published a consultation paper on their approach to enforcement (CP9/23). The consultation period will last until 4 August 2023. Amongst other things, the consultation paper proposes changes to the Bank's and PRA's enforcement policies and procedures, as well as amendments to the way in which the PRA calculates financial penalties for firms and individuals.
