Just because an anime is a classic doesn't mean it's timeless. This doesn't mean the anime series or film in question is bad in any way. As a matter of fact, many of these titles earned their high acclaim and are great in their own right. They even left an undeniable mark on both anime and fiction that can still be felt today. Despite this, modern audiences still may not understand them. This has more to do with the audience's sensibilities in 2025 than it has to do with the anime's content or form.
