Property taxes and pipeline-related eminent domain have been two of the main focuses for legislators this past session. Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Jeff Reichman, Rep. Blaine Watkins and Rep. Matt Rinker gathered for a final legislative session with community members. Reichman said the most contentious thing was removing gender identity protections from the Iowa Constitution. “A lot of people were very concerned that ‘hey I’ve got rights taken away,’” he said.
