Saurabh Chaudhary has won a 10m air pistol medal at an ISSF World Cup. If you read that and thought, hello, did I just click on an article from a time before we knew what a coronavirus was, you'd be forgiven. It starts with Matias Soule sprinting into midfield and stroking a loose ball gently wide to Alexis Saelemakers. The Belgian winger takes a touch with the outside of his right foot and set offs on a leisurely jog down the left wing. He watches Angelino bust a gut to underlap, ignores him and spies Soule asking for it again in the middle. A pause and he rolls it perfectly to him.

Dear Mohun Bagan,Hi. Kemon achhen? We assume pretty good, considering you've just become the second team to win an ISL league shield and cup double. Well played, yeah? The noise. There's nothing like it in Indian football... in almost all Indian sport. You've seen this a thousand times before. Real Madrid go to an away leg of a UEFA Champions League knockout tie, do the square root of nothing, absorb pressure like a sponge would water, watch the goalkeeper have one of his nothing-is-getting-past-me days and walk back to the Bernabeu with a draw and a laugh. Rinse, repeat, lift that beautiful trophy come end May/early June. On the Tuesday night of April 8, it felt like we were stuck in one of those Madrid déjà vu loops.
