We investigate anomalies in the class of nonlocal field theories that have been proposed as an ultraviolet completion of four-dimensional quantum field theory with generalizing the kinetic energy operators to an infinite series of higher derivatives inspired by the string field theory and ghost-free nonlocal approaches to quantum gravity. We explicitly calculate the vector and chiral anomalies in a string-inspired nonlocal extension of QED.

We investigate the production of nonthermal dark matter (DM), χ, during the postinflationary reheating era. For inflation, we consider two slow roll single field inflationary scenarios—generalized version of Hilltop (GH) inflation, and Coleman-Weinberg (CW) inflation.

We describe the challenges and pathways when probing inflaton as dark matter with the stochastic gravitational waves (GWs) signal generated during the (p)reheating. Such scenarios are of utmost interest when no other interaction between the visible and dark sectors is present, therefore having no other detectability prospects. We consider the remnant energy in the coherently oscillating inflaton’s zeroth mode to contribute to the observed relic dark matter density in the Universe.
