Palo Alto-based Terra AI, which is backed by Khosla Ventures, will use its technology to optimize drill testing at a mining site in central Newfoundland, as part of a deal with Toronto-based Canstar. (The Logic)Talking point: The technology could help revive a historic Canadian mining region. It produced zinc, lead, copper, silver and gold from the 1920s to 1980s, and new 3D models now show there are deeper deposits underlying those defunct mines, according to Canstar.
