The first astronauts in more than 40 years from India, Poland and Hungary arrived at the International Space Station on Thursday, ferried there by SpaceX on a private flight. The crew of four will spend two weeks at the orbiting lab, performing dozens of experiments. They launched Wednesday from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. America’s most experienced astronaut, Peggy Whitson, is the commander of the visiting crew. She works for Axiom Space, the Houston company that arranged the chartered flight.

Corus Entertainment Inc. reported a loss attributable to shareholders of $7.3 million in its latest quarter as its revenue fell 10 per cent compared with a year ago. The radio and television broadcaster says the loss amounted to four cents per diluted share for the quarter ended May 31. The result compared with a loss of $769.9 million or $3.86 per diluted share in the same quarter last year when Corus took a $960-million non-cash charge.

Consumers appear to be slightly more satisfied with the financial advice and guidance they received from their banks compared with last year, a new J.D. Power survey shows. The findings showed overall customer satisfaction with their bank improved slightly by 13 points to 579 on a 1,000-point scale. The report, published Thursday, cited several improvements including the frequency, quality and relevance of the advice which helped boost the satisfaction score.

Arun Krishnamurti, senior counsel at Google Canada, said most content made available on social media platforms is already exempted from regulation under the Online Streaming Act. But the company is pushing back against the prospect of mandatory data sharing. The CRTC has said it wants to collect data on revenues and programming expenditures from both traditional and online players, and make that information public.
