    SILVER BAY, Minn. - Tettegouche State Park is issuing an update now that the temperatures are getting warmer. Park leaders say snow is still melting and trails get icy at night, so please use caution while hiking. The park notes that the high falls bridge is closed indefinitely due to flood damage. Those passing through on the Superior Hiking Trail should use the posted detours.

    GRAND MARAIS, Minn. - A new political action group, “Practicing Democracy,” is hosting a non-partisan “People’s Town Hall.” This will take place Tuesday April 22 at 5:30 p.m. Residents of Minnesota’s 8th congressional district are invited to share their concerns about federal policies and their impacts in the Northland. There will be three more meetings in different areas around the district in Hinkley, Brainerd, Lindstrom and Bemidji.
