April 7 (Reuters) - European defence company shares plunged on Monday, surrendering some of their year-to-date gains, as a steep selloff in equities sparked by U.S. President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs gathered pace, while fears grew of an ensuing global recession.
An index of aerospace and defence companies, which so far this year has been enjoying a record -breaking run, dropped 8.9% at 0903 GMT, following an 8% decline on Friday.

April 4 (Reuters) - Shares in European lenders extended losses on Friday amid a deep selloff in equities sparked by U.S. President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs.
A basket of the region's banks was down 3.3% to its lowest since early February at 0710 GMT after falling 5.5% on Thursday. Losses over the past two trading days hit 8.5%, the most for this period in three years.
Italy's BPER Banca , Germany's Deutsche Bank, Spain's Sabadell were leading losses, all down around 4.3%.

Oct 2 (Reuters) - Polish convenience store group Zabka, which will this month undergo potentially the biggest initial public offering in Warsaw since 2020, expects to report higher margins this year, its finance chief said on Wednesday.

Aug 5 (Reuters) - Shares of European tech and semiconductor stocks were down on Monday, as worries over a possible U.S. recession after soft data gripped financial markets and triggered a rush out of this year's top-performing stocks and into safe-haven assets.
The STOXX tech index was last down 4.1%, making it the worst performer among sectoral indices on region-wide STOXX 600, which shed some 3%.
