The project of the almost titular bassist-singer Victoria Park, Pictoria Vark doesn’t at first glance stick out in the current indie rock space. But when “Sara” kicks off her sophomore album Nothing Sticks with its marching snare, it matches the strumming acoustics in an odd but effective way. The pattern persists throughout the entire track, a funereal touch to a piece that already moves at a dirge pace. Horns and vocal harmonies join Park when she sings “It haunts me” at the song’s initial peak.

Rockwell Group, the architecture and design firm behind a suite of Nobu outposts, W hotels and theatre set designs, has collaborated with the world’s biggest cork supplier, Corticeira Amorim, to create a cork haven for Milan Design Week 2025. Inside Casa Cork, the material is everywhere: there are tasselled cork tiebacks for the curtains, illuminated cork sconces designed by Rockwell Group and manufactured by Thomas Cooper Studio, and cork ‘parquet’ created by contrasting darker and lighter cork.
