“Many of you who have taken a course in the economics of international trade can attest that the topic can be a little dry,” joked Professor of Political Science and International Studies and Director for the Center of the Study of American Democracy (CSAD) Joseph Klesner as he introduced Scott Lincicome for his talk titled “Tariffs, Trade Wars and the Future of U.S. Trade Policy.” On April 23, Lincicome, in partnership with CSAD, gave a talk in Archon Auditorium.

The Mount Vernon Fire Department (MVFD) student volunteers will no longer have program housing at the Wilson Apartments located behind the fire station. Instead, Wilson, as well as Duff House, will be converted to faculty housing for the 2025-26 academic year. Wilson has served as housing for the MVFD program since the 2011-12 academic year. According to Vice President for Student Affairs Celestino Limas, the MVFD contacted Kenyon in early 2024 about ending the MVFD student volunteer program.

* Student Organization Renewal is due May 9 at 11:59 p.m. However, organizations must submit before Friday in order to be able to request funding from the Business and Finance Committee (BFC) and participate in the fall 2025 Involvement Fair. * Blu-Ray requested funds for students attending Ultimate Frisbee nationals. The BFC decided to pay the student activity fee for players who attend, as well as the team’s entry fee. * Meagan Lacombe ’27 was the winner of the Sophomore Tap Out.
