Its immediate influences while I was writing it were two fellow newsletters: Jon Randell Smith’s “What We Talk About When We Talk About Food Security” and Raechel Ann Jolie’s “girl culture panic & the failures of feminism.” I will write next week about how I write and prepare differently for speaking versus being read.
