Nottinghamshire Police officers helped save a motorcyclist’s life after finding him unconscious on the M1. Four police vehicles were travelling to Northamptonshire for an off-road training exercise when they came across standstill traffic. Believing an accident had just happened, the police units travelled down the hard shoulder and found a motorcyclist lying motionless in the road.

Two people have been arrested on drugs supply offences after police searched a vehicle parked near Kirkham prison. Lancashire Police said they had been tipped off by the public, which "led to the stop search of a vehicle parked in suspicious circumstances near the prison." Police said as a result of that stop search a number of wrapped items believed to contain illegal contraband were located and two persons were arrested for drug supply offences.
