Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Popular video games Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 will be adapted as films. PlayStation Productions chief Asad Qizilbash announced the news during Sony's CES presentation Monday in Las Vegas. PlayStation Studios and Columbia Pictures are in the "early stages" of developing the Horizon Zero Dawn movie, which was previously in the works as an animated series at Netflix.

Prime Video announced in a press release Wednesday that Aghdashloo, 72, will appear in Season 3 of the fantasy series. The actress is known for the film House of Sand and Fog and the series 24, The Expanse and Arcane.

The streaming service shared a trailer for the show Tuesday featuring actress and comedian Whitney Cummings. Fast Friends is a four-part game show hosted by Cummings and celebrating the 30th anniversary of the NBC sitcom Friends.
