Richmond-based band Keep have been making dreamy, hard-hitting shoegaze rock since 2013, when drummer and vocalist Nick Yetka and guitarist Wes Smithers started the band out of a garage in Virginia Beach. Since then, they’ve released two albums and numerous EPs, and they’ve expanded their roster, adding bassist Will Fennessey in 2017 and guitarist Levi Douthit in 2020.

Saxophonist Miguel Zenon and pianist Luis Perdomo’s Grammy award-winning collaboration El Arte Del Bolero Volumes 1 and 2 considers the connections between jazz and bolero, a genre of love song with deep roots in Latin America. Wes Parker wears a lot of hats. A veteran of the Richmond music scene, he’s been playing in local bands since he was in high school — particularly Camp Howard, which mixed hazy surf rock with driving grunge before breaking up in 2021. That’s where Parker’s character "Skunk" came in: a viral comedy persona he describes as an “amicable crust punk” who he came up with as a creative exercise after a sketch writing class.
