    Bone cancer is when cells in your bones grow out of control. Usually, when you have bone cancer, it comes from another cancer that has spread to your bones or metastatic bone cancer. But sometimes, the cancer cells start in your bones. In that case, it's called primary bone cancer. Primary bone cancer is very rare; only about 1% of all cancers are primary bone cancers. There are four types of primary bone cancer which vary in the people they tend to affect and treatments.
