Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have decided to skip the Suleep Trophy 2024 domestic season. The two senior cricketers played the T20 World Cup followed by the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Now with the domestic season starting next month, Kohli and Rohit have decided to skip the season and make a return in the home Test season starting with the Test series against Bangladesh from September 19 in Chennai.

Joe Root and England had a brilliant start to the second Test at Lord's against Sri Lanka. Batting first, England piled up 358/7 on the first day of the Test match with Root scoring his 33rd Test ton. Joe Root scored 143 off 206 balls and in the process equalled Alastair Cook's tally of 33 Test tons. He is now on level terms with his former England teammate. Another century will make Joe Root the England batter with the most Test tons.

Australia will host India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting in November. The Test series starts with the first Test at Perth. Cricket fans from both countries are awaiting the start of the series with baited breadth. India have won their last two tours. They are also the current holders of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy having won the Test series 2-1 at home earlier this year. They also then defeated the Aussies in the T20 World to avenge their World Cup defeat.

Premier Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is currently on a break from the game and will return in the home Test season against Bangladesh and New Zealand. He will lead the Indian bowling attack when the Men in Blue will tour down under to Australia at the end of the year. That will be a crucial Test series for India and Bumrah will need to be at his best. Jasprit Bumrah last played for India in the T20 World Cup 2024 where he picked 15 wickets in the tournament and won the Player of the series award.
