(Faucett, Mo.) The North Platte Panthers hadn't played a close game through its first 10 games of the season. The Mid-Buchanan Dragons led for just a moment Thursday night at home, but hung close in a 61-55 loss to the Panthers. Ally Smith scored 16 points to lead the Panthers with Brianna DeBord finishing with 14. Avani Kendzora had a game-high 23 points. Mid-Buchanan drops to 9-3 and will face Bishop LeBlond next week in St. Joseph on Jan. 14.

(Union Star, Mo.) The East Atchison Wolves girls started the night with a 24-0 run, eventually taking down Union Star 56-21 behind Lizzie Schlueter's 27 points. The Wolves, 4-6, will travel to Iowa tomorrow to take on Essex. The East Atchison boys ended a two-game losing streak with a 67-17 win. The Wolves, 6-4, will also take on Essex tomorrow night.

(Albany, Mo.) The No. 3 seed Albany Warriors rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat the No. 6 seed North Andrew Cardinals 43-34 in game one. The North Andrew Cardinals defeated the Stanberry Bulldogs 57-36 in game two. Albany will face the winner of Princeton and Stanberry Thursday night at 7:45. The North Andrew girls will face the loser of that Princeton and Stanberry tomorrow afternoon at 4:45. The North Andrew boys will face the winner of Princeton and Albany Thursday night at 6:15.

(Shelbyville, Mo.) The North Shelby Raiders turned the Braymer Bobcats over on down with a minute and half to go, trailing by four. North Shelby then set themselves up with one final play, completing a 16-yard pass to Gannon Bowen as time expired to knock off the Bobcats 32-30. Braymer's season ends once again with a semifinals loss. The Bobcats finish the season 12-1. Braymer loses a strong senior class that won two district titles and 24 games over the last two seasons.
