BRICK TOWNSHIP — Drum Point Elementary School will be holding its second annual pie fundraiser, which the school described as a fun and meaningful event aimed at raising funds for the Brick Township Police Department’s safety vests.
The pie fundraiser will take place during the school day on Wednesday, June 11, with a rain date of Thursday, June 12.
Students at Drum Point Elementary School will have the opportunity to vote for staff members they want to see pied in the face.

BRIELLE — The Brielle Council introduced its $11 million municipal budget for 2025 at its Monday, April 14, council meeting.
The average assessed home in Brielle of $1,000,000 paid $4,270 in 2024 and in 2025 will pay $4,274.54, which would be an increase of $4.54.
The budget totals $11,476,172 includes $1,850,000 for surplus anticipated, $664,526 for miscellaneous revenues anticipated, $150,000 for receipts from delinquent taxes.

BRIELLE — The Brielle Planning Board carried a site plan application for 628 Higgins Ave., an area currently in redevelopment, to its next meeting on Tuesday, May 13.
The owner and designated redeveloper of 628 Higgins Ave., also known as Block 66.01, Lot 2 on the Brielle tax map, is M&D Two, LLC.
The property is 1.33 acres and M&D proposed to demolish and remove the existing structures and redevelop the property with a 20-unit residential townhome development.

BRICK TOWNSHIP — Mayor Lisa Crate has announced the grand re-opening of the Brick Township Teen Center will be on Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m.
The teen center is located in the Civic Plaza at 270 Chambers Bridge Road and will be open Mondays through Fridays from 2 to 7 p.m.
The center will begin its regular hours on Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m.
“I am beyond excited to finally have the teen center reopen its doors and welcome the young people of Brick Township,” said Mayor Crate.

BRICK TOWNSHIP — The Arc, Ocean County Chapter will host the 23rd annual Step Up for The Arc Walk and 5K Race on Saturday, May 17, at ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, home of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, to benefit programs and support services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

BRICK TOWNSHIP — The Democrat and Republican candidates for the June 10 primary election have officially been announced by the Ocean County Clerk’s office. In Brick Township, the mayor’s seat and three council seats are up for election.
The seat for mayor is a four-year term.
On the Democrat side of the ballot, incumbent Mayor Lisa Crate is running unopposed for the nod to run as the mayoral candidate in November’s election. Crate was first appointed to the position of mayor on Feb.
