Team Australasia’s line up for the Craig Jones Invitational 2 (CJI 2) has been finalized. After hosting CJI 2 trials in Melbourne, Australia, two trials winners and a wild card pick have received official invites to the upcoming $1 million team tournament this August. Several of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) competitors from Australia and Asia participated in two tournaments in one day.

Soon after initial allegations came out, B-Team head Craig Jones and “Jay Rod” himself both released statements noting that the 23-year-old grappler no longer has ties to the popular Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) stable.

The Craig Jones Invitational 2 (CJI 2) will host a $1 million team tournament, and a few of the teams involved are hosting “Trials” events to fill up their line ups for August. ADCC legend Lachlan Giles will be coaching the Australasia team, and he will be hosting a Trials event that starts on FRIDAY, May 9, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET. There will be a free live stream of the event, which will be embedded below.

The 2025 Brasileiros produced a lot of exciting results, with four world champions, Diego Pato, Tainan Dalpra, Adam Wardzinski, and Janaina Maia, all winning their third major IBJJF title for the year and continuing their bid for a grand slam. Cole Abate won his first major title in the gi, while Jansen Gomes also didn’t miss a beat as he took gold in his first big event since his layoff.

Outside of including a Royal Rumble format to add pageantry to their $1 million team tournament, Jones also revealed two new coaches and four more Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) competitors that will be part of CJI 2.
