Black History Month, observed every February in the United States, serves as a dedicated time to reflect on the contributions, struggles, and triumphs of African Americans throughout U.S. history. Its significance has always been profound, offering a necessary corrective to an often whitewashed historical narrative. However, its importance is magnified today as we witness concerted efforts across the nation to restrict the teaching of critical aspects of America’s racial history in classrooms.

Neither Donald Trump or Joe Biden should be president of the United States in January 2025. That seems to be the position of a large percentage of Americans. And that seems to be the reason the bipartisan group No Labels is pushing to lay the groundwork in all 50 states for a third candidate to have the chance at the job. Many people have their reasons for wishing the Republican Party would find somebody — anybody! — other than Trump to be their presidential nominees for the third time in a row.
