It's hard to pull off the same feel of a film when a director is making a remake. We are talking about good films. Yes, there are good films and bad films. David Lynch's Dune (1984) was, well, not bad, but you have to accept Denis Villeneuve's version was better. Ang Lee's 1993 film, The Wedding Banquet, was a good film, and we can say the reimagining by Andrew Ahn is a good one too.

The new Thunderbolts* trailer was less about the Thunderbolts and more about the former Red Room assassin and a hilariously savage Yelena Belova, the sister of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), whom Florence Pugh (Midsommar) portrays. It's day one of Ryan Coogler's Sinners, and everybody who has watched it is already expecting a sequel. Well, there might be, but wait a bit; let it perform, which it is likely to, as it already sits with 97% critic approval on Rotten Tomatoes as of this writing. Looks like it's going to break that mold we discussed in one of our stories last week. Music serves as a sort of plot device here; it can attract healing but also evil. Though Michael B.
