    Emmert joined UC as a professor of electrical engineering in 2018 from his prior faculty position at Wright State University. In addition to his role as professor, he has served the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as program director and associate department head. Emmert is a UC alumnus, having earned his doctorate in computer engineering from UC in 1999.

These three faculty members join 10 new faculty who were hired at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year in August.

    Andrew Barth, a two-time University of Cincinnati graduate and an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, died Feb. 9, 2025. He was 49. In January, Barth joined his alma mater as a faculty member.

This sense of camaraderie is bolstered by the fact that all first-year Beyond Boundaries students live in Dardick, and many second-years in Nemerov. With the ability to cut across the parking lot, Dardick and Nemerov are highly convenient, as they are close to campus, right above Habif, which is a circulator stop, and the closest to the metro stop.

  • UC Cleanroom available for campus and industry research use

    The Mantei Center Cleanroom in the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science has been a key factor in elevating UC’s stature in the field of semiconductors and micro/nano fabrication processes. Located on the 300 level of the Mantei Center on UC’s uptown campus, the cleanroom is an 8,000-square-foot laboratory housing lithography, deposition, etching, and electrical and optical characterization tools for micro- and nano-fabrication.
