    19-year-old Michael Foy joined the Munster Rugby Academy last summer. The Cork native began his playing career in Carrigaline RFC at age four before making the move to Cork Constitution to play amongst the age-grade ranks. Over the past two seasons Foy has played in back-to-back Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup finals with Christian Brothers College. The 19-year-old represented Ireland U19s last season, starting against France in a 19-10 win in April.

    The rugby careers of Lynne Cantwell, Marcus Horan and Donncha O’Callaghan will be celebrated at a special event next month. Rugby Players Ireland is delighted to announce that Lynne Cantwell, Marcus Horan, and Donncha O’Callaghan will be inducted into the Heineken Rugby Players Ireland Hall of Fame next month. First presented in 2003, the illustrious group includes an array of Irish Rugby legends with Shane Horgan and Alison Miller its most recent inductees.

    We spoke to new signing Tom Farrell as he settles in to life at Munster after making the move down from Connacht. Farrell joins Munster on a two-year deal after a very successful seven years at Connacht where he scored 21 tries in 112 appearances. A former Ireland U20 international, he joined Connacht from Bedford Blues in 2017 and quickly became a key member of their squad. A creative midfielder with good offloading skills, Farrell earned a call-up to the Ireland squad for the 2019 Six Nations.
