A new vinyl pressing plant is opening in Ireland. According to the Journal, Anthem Vinyl is fitted out with two record presses and will begin its operations with around a dozen employees at first. The plant is located in Clane, Co. Kildare and run by colleagues Brian Kenny, former head of Operations at Dublin Vinyl, and Chris Keena, former commercial manager at Dublin Vinyl.

U-Bahn stations in Berlin may start hosting techno DJ sets. As Tagesspiegel reports, the Berlin Transport Company (BVG) intend to "bring the lively and vibrant Berlin into the station" to the city's Kottbusser Tor station, colloquially known by Berliners as "Kotti". No specifics are known as of yet, but the BVG are reportedly interested in bringing jazz artists to the U1/3 platform and DJs "from the electronic and techno scene" to the U8 platform.

A psytrance festival due to take place in South Gloucestershire has been blocked following complaints from local residents. The organisers of Goa Cream's ninth edition, which was scheduled to take place for the third year in a row at Yewtree Farm, near the town of Thornbury, from 12th to 14th September, were informed of the local council's decision on 8th April.
