Chakothi: The body of a missing youth from jammu and Kashmir's Uri has been recovered from River Jhelum in Chakothi, Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK), 15 days after he allegedly jumped into the river. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Yasir Hussain, son of Moz Ali Shah, a resident of Dhani Busgran, Uri.

The traffic movement on same highway that connects Srinagar with Bandipora was suspended. A senior police official confirmed to Republic TV that a bomb disposal squad (BDS) was immediately deployed to neutralise the explosive.

Srinagar: A fierce exchange of gunfire erupted between the security forces and the terrorists in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday, following a search operation in the area. As per latest information, one terrorist has been killed. A senior police officer confirmed to Republic TV that, based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in Krumbhoora, Zachaldara Rajwar, a joint team of security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation to neutralise the threat.

Baramulla: A suspected grenade attack took place near Police Post Old Town, Baramulla, on the intervening night of March 4-5 at around 2120 hours. A blast-like sound was reported from the rear side of the police post, triggering security concerns. No casualties or damage were reported in the incident. Following the explosion, police teams, in coordination with other security agencies, swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
